- The US Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Contracting Center, intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B), with Alliant Techsystems, Inc. (ATK), Mesa, AZ; for LW30mm M789 High Explosive Dual Purpose (HEDP) Cartridges, NSN 1305-01-268-9373. An add-on award via contract modification to Contract W52P1J-09-C-0016 is anticipated for a base quantity of 300,000 each M789 cartridges, plus an 850,000 Option quantity. This requirement is being synopsized for subcontracting purposes only, and interested subcontractors should contact ATK directly. See Numbered Note 22.
