NASA/JSC is in the process of identifying hardware and software option combinationsto upgrade the Atmospheric Reentry Materials and Structure Evaluation Facility (ARMSEF)Test Position 2 motion control system using industry-current, reliable, off-the-shelfsolutions which allow for reasonable motion control function growth as stated in thefollowing:http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/NNJ10ZBH002L/TP-2-Motion-Control-System-Upgrade-RFI-1-12-2010.doc This document is for information and planning purposes and to allow industry theopportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well aspromote competition.
