Description
This is the second notice and serves as the official synopsis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland anticipates issuance of a solicitation for a hot water loop repair project at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Cumberland, Maryland. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for construction of Phases 1, 2, and 3 (base bid) including a request for an alternate bid for Phase 4 and 5, if awarded. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project is a total 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 which contains a size standard of $14 million. The period of performance for the base bid is 210 calendar days which commences after the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. If the alternate is accepted by the government, the period of performance for the alternate is 84 calendar days. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. No tax exemption certificate will be issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The issuance of solicitation IFBP01071000001 will be on or about February 23, 2010. The solicitation will be distributed through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
