Description
The project work consists of removing shoals from the Entrance Channel (Cuts 1 and 2), Trident Access Channel (T.A.C.), & Trident Turning Basin (T.T.B.). The Contract Base is to dredge approximately 299,000 cubic yards (CY) of material from Cut 1 (sta. 0+00 90+00) with disposal in the designated Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), located approximately 7.30 statute miles from the dredging area. Option A is to dredge approximately 308,000 CY of material from Cut 1 (sta. 90+00 125+00) and Cut 2 (sta. 125+00 -145+00) with disposal in the designated ODMDS, located approximately 7.80 statute miles from the dredging area. Option B is to dredge approximately 255,000 CY of material from Cut 2 (sta. 145+00-207+00), T.A.C. (sta. 2+02.66 32+33.60), and T.T.B. (sta. 0+00 15+00). Nearshore quality material removed from Cut-2 station 150+00 to station 181+70.90 and from the T.A.C. station 2+02.66 to station 12+44.38, Range 193.12 to Range 1000, will be disposed of in the Nearshore Disposal Area located approximately 6 statute miles from the dredging area. The determination of nearshore quality material, classified as material with less than 20% fines, will be based on a visual inspection of the material as it is placed into scows. All Non-Nearshore quality material shall be disposed of in the designated ODMDS 10.20 statute miles from the dredging area. Notice to Contractors: Due to funding, the Government may or may not exercise Option B. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. THIS ACQUISTION IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. The solicitation will be issued on or about 05 February 2010 with proposals due on or about 11 March 2010. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
