Description

RECOVERY: Install New Shelter Cover Over New Raceways, ARRA Funded FFS Project Number R6RA, TAS::14 1610::TAS. THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS OFFERED AS A COMPETITIVE 8(A) SET-ASIDE RESTRICTED COMPETITION TO 8(A) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN REGION VIII - COLORADO, WYOMING, MONTANA, SOUTH DAKOTA, NORTH DAKOTA, AND UTAH AND OTHER 8(a) CONSTRUCTION FIRMS WITH A BONA FIDE PLACE OF BUSINESS WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL COMPETITIVE AREA AND THE ASSIGNED NAICS CODE. ALL OTHER 8(a) BD PARTICIPANTS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT OFFERS. WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT: Work under this contract consists of the design and construction of a pre-engineered, structural frame supported, fabric covered building including all mechanical, electrical, and exterior improvements, including all design, labor, materials, and equipment used or incorporated in such construction at Hotchkiss NFH. JOB CONDITIONS: The Contractor is responsible for locating all existing buried utilities in the vicinity of the work. The Contractor shall repair any damaged utilities resulting from construction activities. Construction of the E Bank of Raceways may be in progress concurrently with this contract, the Contractor shall coordinate their work so as not to disrupt progress of other work, and shall cooperate to facilitate orderly progress of all work. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE: The site of the work is located approximately 5 miles southwest of Hotchkiss, Colorado. Take Highway 92 West to 3200 Rd, south to Lazear Rd, west to Hatchery Rd, then south to 8342 Hatchery Road, Hotchkiss NFH Prospective offerors are encouraged to visit the work area in order to examine the existing site conditions. Tomake arrangements to visit the site, contact the Hatchery Manager, Adam Mendoza, at (970) 872-3170. Your attention is invited to review Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.236-3, Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work (Apr 1984). Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve the contractor from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: The estimated magnitude of the project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The total performance period is 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors, and the size standard is $33.5 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about February 5, 2010 with an anticipated closing date of March 8, 2010.
