- The US Army Medical command for FORT GORDON has a requirement for Oral Surgery lectures and Anatomy courses. The Government intends to award a contract for this requirement. The suggested contractor is Mohamed Sharawy, B.D.S., PH.D., 3677 Baypoint, Martinez, GA 30907-9135. CLIN # 0001 Lecture Series to be presented 28 JAN 10, 22 and 25 FEB 10, 1 MAR 10, 5 and 6 APR 10. CLIN #0002 Anatomy lab to be presented at US Army DENTAC Fort Gordon B 38717 38th Street Fort Gordon, GA 30905-5660 The contractor/speaker will provide a series of continuing lectures and course instructions (7 full days) to the Dental Post Graduate training residents from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program, the Endodontic Program, the Periodontic Program and the Prosthodontic Program in the following topics: Bone Grafts and Implants; Overview of Senory System; Overview of Autonomic Nerves, and Cranial Nerves V and VII; Anatomy and Physiology of Nerves and its Response to injury Post-Traumatic Neuralgia; Surgical Spaces of the Head & Neck & Spread of Dental Infection; Bone Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry of Bone as a Tissue; Radiological Anatomy of the Head & neck TMJ Structure & Function. The Contractor will also conduct a Clinical Laboratory and Anatomy of the Head and Neck Course that will include 3 full days of lecture and laboratory sessions. The contractor will be available during the assigned times for the dissection of cadevers to individually instruct the residents. The contractor will provide each attendee with their own copy of The Companion of Applied Anatomy, Volume I Head and Neck, 5th Edition, 1955 Sharawy. This series of lectures/course instruction are part of the curricula and fulfills the basic accreditation standards. The contractor will also provide all materials for the anatomy and laboratory courses. This is not a request for proposal. However, entities that can provide an equal product must submit their technical capabilities to include certifications/licenses and Curriculum Vitae, past performance information, price and delivery time. This information will be reviewed by the Government medical/technical representatives for consideration for future requirements.
