- Description
- The Spokane VA Medical Center (Parent Facility) has established that a need for improved access exists in Colville, Washington and intends to award a contract for primary care and preventive medical care for veterans living in that area. The Parent Facility for this Community Partnership is the Spokane VA Medical Center. Primary care services will provide a continuum of care from prevention to diagnosis and treatment, to appropriate referral and follow-up. Those patients needing specialty or follow-up care not included in this contract shall be referred to the Spokane VA Medical Center. A Community Partnership must have the necessary professional medical staff, diagnostic testing and treatment capability, and referral arrangements needed to ensure continuity of health care. Primary Care includes longitudinal outpatient medical care for the purposes of prevention and detection of disease and subsequent management of medical conditions in eligible Veterans.
