- The following are the questions submitted from different Contractors in relation to the project's technical area. Answeres were provided right next to the questions; 1.What type of refrigerant the Two McQuay Chillers to be removed use? 134a 2.Once the two new Trane chillers are installed and in use, Aggreko is responsible to remove the temporary chiller that is installed or the awarded contractor? Aggreko. 3.RFP indicate that contractor is responsible for the new electrical installation,since their is no drawings please indicate the distance from current chillers to MCC and required conduit, breaker size,model and conductor size. Contractor is responsible to use required breaker and conductor size as per NEC. Electrical connection not to MCC, to disconnect switch. 4.Also confirm if current MCC has the capability to accept new units. Since in none of the visits were shown the area. Yes, it does, but N/A. 5.Please indicate if existing units need to be removed in one piece or can be demolished Contractors choice. 6.Confirm if Contractor is responsible for the refrigerant removed from the existing units. Page 10 of 56 2.2.4 Contractor is responsible to collect and dispose refrigerant and chiller as per local laws. Please be adviced that the new response date is Feb 3, 2010 -before 12:00pm-Puerto Rico time. All proposals must be sumitted by mail or hand carried.
