- RECOVERYTAS::14 1041:: TAS RECOVERY WASO OCIO This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools equipment, transportation and supervision to provide: 1.1 BackgroundThe National Park Service owns a Northern Telecom Option 80C located at 12795 W. Alameda Parkway Lakewood, CO. 1.2 Scope Battery backup power for the above switch is provided by the equipment described below:32 individual batteries rated 12V-100AH (LS12-100) which are labeled Liberty Series 1000 by C&D Technologies Power Solutions. The National Park Service requests sale proposals for: 1.Replacement of the above batteries with equivalent or better backup batteries. Existing cabling will be used to connect the batteries2. After installation, the battery backup system will be tested by confirming that the Option 80C switch still performs after power is disconnected from the switch. The test will be conducted outside of normal business hours. Normal business hours are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.3.Removal and recycle of existing backup batteries.4.Site visit must take place before the Contractor can provide a quote. No quotes will be accepted unless a site visit has been completed. Location of batteries is:National Park Service12795 W. Alameda AvenueLakewood, CO 80228 The project performance period is 30 days after issuance of the purchase order. The NAICS Code is 811213 Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance (with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The estimated price range based on market research is $8,000.00 to $15,000.00. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to small business only. The solicitation with specifications, will be posted to the websites:http://www.fedbisopp.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about January 29, 2010.
