- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for ARRA Project Renovate Nuclear Medicine for New Gamma Cameras,VA New Jersey Healthcare System East Orange Campus, 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, New Jersey. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision as necessary to complete Project #561-09-121 as outlined in the contract specifications and shown on the contract drawings. The Contractor shall prepare designated areas of the Nuclear Medicine Suite, Bldg. 1, 6th Floor for the installation of 2 new Gamma Cameras. The project consists of, but is not limited to, alterations, electrical, mechanical, and utility systems to accommodate the installation of the new Gamma Cameras through removal of existing structures, construction, installation of specified HVAC systems including ceilings, light fixtures and sprinkler replacements. Demolition shall include removal of existing ceiling tiles and suspension system and all associated appurtenances and reworking of existing exterior openings of Bldg.1, 6th Floor, Wing "D". Work also includes installation of new conduit and conductors for all new equipment including all power, control wiring and conduit necessary for the new Gamma Cameras. This construction project is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website,www.vetbiz.gov to be considered for award. There will be a pre-bid conference/site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation document. The solicitation will be issued on/about January 28, 2010 with the bid opening on/about March 4, 2010. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006 competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. This project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this project is 238910, with a size standard of $14.0 million. Time for completion is 540 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contract Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award.
