- Description
- Grand Forks Air force Base intends to award a construction contract with the work requirements to be performed by the contractor consisting of, but not limited to the construction of a 4 lane/400 meter synthetic surface running track with asphalt base. The project also contains lighting, landscaping, site drainage, benches, sodding, and other support construction. All work shall be in conformance with the requirements of the contract including furnishing all plant, labor, and materials in strict accordance with plans and specifications of the contract and as specified in the Technical Provisions. This is an unrestricted acquisition. The resulting contract will be a Firm Fixed Price contract with a magnitude between $500,000 to $1,000,000. The performance period will be 120 days with a winter exclusion of 1 Nov through 30 Apr. Award will be made based upon Best Value to the Government IAW FAR Part 15 and the terms in the solicitation with price and past performance being approximately equal. This acquisition is being synopsized under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990, Highway, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and the small business size standard is $33.5 million. All prospective offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and ORCA database or their proposal will not be considered for award. Contractors can obtain further information on the Central Contractor Registration database at web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and http://orca.bpn.gov/. The solicitation will only be available for viewing and downloading at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies or CD-ROMs will be issued. Expected posting of the solicitation will be on or about 5 Feb 2010.
