Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-07-G-0008 with the Bell Boeing - Joint Program Office (JPO) on an other than full and open competitive basis. This order will cover the recurring costs associated with the Engineering Change proposed for the removal and replacement of Fasteners for the Interconntecting Drive Shaft (ICDS) for the V-22 Osprey Aircraft. The Non-Recurring Engineering has already been completed under another contract by the Bell Boeing JPO. The Government is requesting the estimated period of performance upon delivery. This order will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other type of suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. Bell-Boeing JPO is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the v-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, and maintenance and support characteristics of the aircraft.
