- Sole Source Notice of Intent – Agilent Technologies, Inc The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the NIST Analytical Chemical Division, intends to negotiate with Agilent Technologies, Inc., on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1 (b), Soliciting from a Single Source, for the repair service of (1) G1946 Model Mass Spectrometer to include parts, onsite labor and travel. Repair of this instrument requires the manufacturer with detailed knowledge and experience. The work to repair the instrument must be performed with parts and repair procedures in accordance with manufacturer’s design specifications. Agilent Technologies has service engineers specifically trained in the maintenance and repair of this equipment. Engineers have direct access to replacement parts and any applicable service bulletins, they will be able to assess whether instrument performance meets specifications once the system has been repaired along with previous repair records on referenced system. The NAICS Code is 334516. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Agilent Technologies, Inc. for this requirement. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST and are authorized to provide these services may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before January 25, 2010 at 12:00 pm EST. To be considered an affirmative response, vendors must submit written data and documentation which demonstrates their authorization to meet these requirements. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
