Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: D-B of a new concrete apron (25,090 SM) with asphalt shoulders (3,600 SM) on the northwest end of taxiway A, to service as an arm/disarm pad. Construct asphalt roadway (2,787 SM) parallel with west edge of the new pad, in order to re-direct the existing airfield road. Include all necessary lighting for the area and pad. Demolish existing (93 SM) Crew Chief Shelter. Construct a new Crew Chief Shelter (93 SM) in the vicinity of the pad, including supporting utilities for HVAC and restrooms. Relocate base communications infrastructure on the site. The project includes development of design deliverables (2 submittals plus back check processes), sustainable design applicability will be considered (no LEEDs rating/compliance required), design deliverables for grading, relocation/protection of utilities, site improvements, connections/runs, Crew Chief interior/exterior finishes, and all necessary features (interior and exterior) to yield a safe, complete, and useable project. Acquisition Information: This acquisition is proceeding as Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFP is an UNRESTRICTED FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION Estimated Cost Range is between $1,000,000 $5,000,000 Period of Performance for Design and Construction: 540 Days. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Y124, SIC CODE: 1611, NAICS Code: 237310. The size standard for this code is $33,500,000. Information about the time and location of the site visit/pre-proposal conference will be found in Section 00100 of the specifications. If you need assistance with downloading the plans or specs or registering as an Interested Vendor, please contact the Contract Specialist. A site visit/pre-proposal conference will be scheduled about a week after the solicitation is issued at 0900 Hrs (Utah Time) For all attendees needing security access/temporary pass onto Hill Air Force Base, request access four (4) days in advance. Further information will be provided under Section 00100 of the solicitation. The following information will be required: Name, Social Security Number, Company, Phone Number and EMAIL address. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about February 04, 2010, for downloading at the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. The specific date and time will be identified in the solicitation. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. ORDERING SOLICITATION: Plans and specifications will NOT be provided in hard paper copy or CD-ROM format. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) once the RFP is issued. Viewing/downloading documents from FedBizOpps will require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov). If you are a first-time FedBizOpps user, you will also be required to register in FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) before accessing the RFP documents. To register, click on the Register Now button in the Vendors Block and follow the instructions.
