- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercialitems/services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; competitive quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SYNOPSIS NOTES: NOTE 22: THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.001(a). INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT QUOTES. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. HOWEVER, ALL QUOTES RECEIVED BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS POSTING WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO COMPETE THIS PROPOSED CONTRACT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE,IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL NORMALLY BE CONSIDERED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT IN THE FUTURE.The solicitation number is N65538-10-Q-0017, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38. The associated NAICS code is 423430. This requirement is for the continuation of services for the SAP MaxSecure IM Software. Line Item 0001 is as follows: QUANTITY: VARIOUS; DESCRIPTION: MAXSECURE IM EXTENDED MAINTENANCE. THIS TASK SHALL HAVE A ONE YEAR BASE PERIOD AND TWO ONE YEAR OPTION PERIODS. The provision FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Contractors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Contractor will include a completed copy of the provision FAR 52.212-3, Contractors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its quote. Clauses FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer; Central Contractor Registration, DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration; FAR 52-217-5 Evaluation of Options; apply to this solicitation. Quotes are due on 26 JANUARY 2010, by 4:00 PM EST, to the Naval Sea Logistics Center, 5450 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, by 4:00pm, Eastern Standard Time.
