Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request For Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is A1770108603, NER-GATE- Gateway National Recreation Area, Fort Hancock, Monmouth County, New Jersey 07732. requires the following: Diesel Fuel for the Sand Slurry Operations. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2005-38, effective 11 Jan 2010. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 454319 - Other Fuel Dealers. This is an unrestricted requirement. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. All interested parties must quote on all items to be considered. BASIS FOR AWARD: Award will be made to the lowest price offeror that is determined to be technically acceptable. DELIVERY ADDRESS AND PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The requirement is to be procured on behalf of:Gateway National Recreation Area - Sandy Hook Unit REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONDelivery of Diesel Fuel for the Sand Slurry OperationsGateway National Recreation Area - Sandy Hook Unit Intent The intent of this contract is to Request a Quote for the delivery of diesel fuel for the Sand Slurry Operation at the Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area. There are six (6) transfer pumps total, each with a 500-gallon diesel tank. Fuel deliveries shall be made directly to four transfer pumps. Additional diesel fuel shall be delivered to an underground storage tank (UST) in order for the Park to be able to fuel the two transfer pumps on the beach and to provide the refueling of heavy equipment used on project. Location This project will be completed at the Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area, Fort Hancock, Monmouth County, New Jersey 07732. Scope of Work/Services The vendor shall provide:1.Provide a cost per gallon of diesel fuel delivered.2.Provide approximately 24,000 gallons of diesel fuel over a 4-week period of time (Approximately January 15, 2010 through Feb 15, 2010)3.There will be approximately 10 deliveries, each with 2,400 gallons of diesel fuel.4.Locations of deliveries shall be at one UST and four transfer pumps throughout the Sandy Hook Unit.5.Price shall include the cost of the transportation and delivery of all fuel ordered. Schedule for Work A start date will be dependent on the progress of the construction schedule and on the weather. At this time the approximate start date is January 15, 2010. Deliveries shall be completed every other business day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Fuel deliveries will be conducted over a 4-week period of time (Approximately January 15, 2010 through Feb 15, 2010).
