Description
Draft PWS The United States Air Force, Headquarters Air Mobility Command (HQ AMC) is seeking sources for the contemplated follow-on contract for the 618th Tanker Aircraft Control Center (618 TACC) Data Division Support Services. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. This FedBizOpps notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the services as described herein. AMC is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Should a future requirement(s) evolve from this preliminary planning process, it is anticipated the period of performance will be a four month base period plus three one-year option periods. This Request for Information (RFI) is seeking sources experienced in providing technical and analytical assistance related to transportation operations, development of new products and metrics, data quality analysis, and the translation of any anomalies associated with logistical and operational data. Contractors will work within the Data Division to provide 24-7 mission support to the 618 TACC C2 function. The Data Division's contractors will provide analysis on missions flown by AMC assets with special emphasis on AMC missions such as contingency force movement, tanker, passenger, and cargo information to tell AMC's "true story." The Data Division collaborates closely with USTRANSCOM and directorates within the 618 TACC to maintain each force package's integrity. In addition, specialized Data Division personnel assist the 618 TACC's leadership by monitoring chosen force movements from planning through execution. The heightened situational awareness allows 618 TACC leadership to take proactive actions to mitigate or eliminate obstacles. Data Division personnel also provide daily briefings to general officers. A draft PWS is provided as an Attachment. Please note that this PWS is in DRAFT form and actual tasks required may change prior to solicitation. If your company has an interest in proposing on the requirements described above, please respond no later than 20 January 2010.
