- The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to Teledyne RD Instruments Inc., on other than full and open competitive basis a contract for 2 each High Resolution Current/ Wave Measurement System (HRCW): to include: WHS600 600 khz Self Contained Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) with; Waves package soft/firmware, 1Gb storage on PCMCIA card, 100 meter pressure sensor, and 1 each High Resolution Current/Wave Measurement System (HRCW): to include: WH5 Beam 600 khz 5 Beam Self Contained ADCP with optional; Upgraded Communications Package to allow both RS232 and 2 X RS232 communications along with a power converter in pressure housing to allow for the real time monitoring of data, External Battery housing with batteries for the powering of the ADCP in the self-contained operation, All inter-connecting cabling, manuals, tools, software, firmware. (Microsoft IE required). Additional specifications will appear in the RFQ. Sole source is based on equipment being compatible to Teledyne RD Instruments Inc. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Note: All offerors will be ineligible for award unless they have registered in the DOD(s) Central Contractor Registration database.
