Description
An award was made to Carestream Health Inc.; to provide a system upgrade to an existing Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) located in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences DUNS#-793169512 This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject to all required reporting. This project is a sole source requirement. Carestream is the manufacturer of the existing hardware/software. The upgrade involves proprietary software manufactured by Carestream and hardware designed to meet Carestream exacting requirements. A further stipulation is that the upgrade to the existing PACS must be able to take over from the existing PACS with minimal interruption in daily clinical operations. The upgrade must interface with all the devices and systems currently supported by the existing PACS and NIH security and confidentiality specifications. This procurement was classified under North American Industry Classification System code 334517, with an employee size standard of 500.
