- The government is interested in doing business with small businesses that are owned and operated by HUBZone Small Businesses Concerns. This is a sources sought synopsis seeking information of potential firms (nationwide) that have an interest in submitting as a prime contractor, a proposal for the following description: The project consists essentially of, but is not limited to the removing and disposing of asbestos containing materials from various facilities on Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. All items to be demolished under this project shall be considered to contain asbestos material or to be contaminated with asbestos. Work will be accomplished in both occupied and unoccupied facilities. The base period project magnitude is one (1) initial contract period and four (4) 12 month option periods that may be exercised at the option of the Government. The base period project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Each option period magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. An Asbestos Abatement Requirements contract is sought. It is required that all interested and qualified firms respond with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in the everyday course of doing business. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) summarize how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle this type of construction; (2) summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. The list of relevant projects may include names of the project team members and firm, point of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) with titles, phone and fax numbers, project scope, and type of contract; (3) bonding: provide your bonding capacity per contract and aggregate. (4) A statement of your current business size status under the NAICS code 562910, Environmental Remediation Services. The information above must be submitted in written format via e-mail to sequoyah.guinn@dover.af.mil. This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR). The CCR website is: http://www.ccr.gov/. The successful offeror must also have an active Online Representation and Certification Application (ORCA). The ORCA website is: http://orca.bpn.gov/. The information/capability statement must be received not later than January 20, 2010. This sources sought notice should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request. No solicitation is currently available.
