- RECOVERY--The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Carson intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the renovation of a dining facility (DFAC), Building 7481, that serves the 10th SFG (A) located at Fort Carson, Colorado. This is an amended Presolicitation Notice for Solicitation No. W911RZ-10-B-0004. The result of this IFB will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction contract with an anticipated award date of 8 March 2010. The Government intends to award a single contract. The anticipated issuance date for this IFB is on or about 29 January 2010. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the IFB package. The period of performance is estimated to be a base period only. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The requirement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5M. The majority of this work is considered construction work and Davis-Bacon requirements will apply. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fbo.gov and the Army Acquisition Business Website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Interested offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and any amendments. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database or their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. Prospective offerors who would like their company name included on the Bidders Mailing List may do so on the FBO website under the Interested Vendors List tab. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for bid/proposal preparation costs. This project will be funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funds. This project consists of a 35' x 60' addition to the north end of an existing Dining Facility for the 10th SFG (A). This work includes an extension of the seating area only and electrical and communications wiring there will be no alterations to the cooking, serving, or bathroom areas.
