- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE Contracting Agency: US Fish & Wildlife Services, Division of Contracting and General Services (Region 2)Location: McFaddin National Wildlife RefugeDescription of Purchase: Environmental/ Water monitoring products & supplies as follows: Description"YSI 600LS Sonde, 4 each"6195 Rugged 10 ft vent cable, 4 each"YSI Model 650-02 w/1.6MB, 1each"6115 GPS Y-cable, 1each"6095 B "Y" cable assembly, 1 each"Flying lead adapter 15, 1 each"Flow tracker by Sontek w/5 meter cable, 1 each"2.4 Meter wading rod and case, 1 each Statutory Authority: FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See Numbered Note 22. The Environmental/ Water monitoring products & supplies described above will be acquired from Water Monitoring Solutions, PO Box 609, Sabine, Texas, 77655 without competition because the proposed company is the only supplier available that meets Government requirements. Currently the refuge has YSI 600 LS Sondes used for monitoring of hydrological conditions within marshes on Texas Chenier Plains Refuge Complex. Additional Sondes are needed to replace equipment lost in Hurricane Ike and to expand the hydrological monitoring needed for habitat management and for modeling of management impacts. YSI Sondes have a proven track record in the coastal environment. It would be in the best interest of the Government to purchase equipment that would be compatible as interchangeable with the existing system. Vendors capable of providing these need supplies are encouraged to submit pricing and descriptive literature to issuing office, Attn: LeeAnn Casados at email address, leeann_casados@fws.gov. Any and all pricing and literature are due by 01/25/2010.
