Description
New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) intends to procure Good Clinical Practice (GCP) monitor and review services for clinical trials conducted by VA Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (VA CSPCRPCC), located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Clinical trials are conducted at VA facilities and associated non-VA facilities throughout the U.S. and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Clinical studies vary in number, size and design, but typically average 25 studies, conducted at 300 to 400 investigative sites. Contracts are required for the following services: Monitoring Visits (with pre and post work) including site initiation monitoring visits, routine monitoring visits at participating sites, close out visits at participating sites, preparing site visit reports and summary letters; Monitoring and Review Visits (without pre and post work), including kickoff meeting/investigators meeting, and support conducting monitoring visits; GCP Site Initial Review Visits, including training of site personnel on GCP topics and assuring proper regulatory information is present in the site files; and GCP Site Reviews. The contract requires a significant amount of travel. Task orders will be issued against established contracts for required services. It is anticipated four to six contracts may be awarded. The period of performance includes a base period with two (2), one year, renewal options. Issue date will be approximately May 29, 2009.
