- Description
- The VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA has a requirement to Upgrade the HVAC System in Building 6 at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA Work includes general construction, alteration, mechanical and electrical work. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision as necessary to remove and replace two air handling units, for energy recovery glycol run-around coils and one pump, two chilled water pumps, two heating hot water pumps, two rooftop exhaust fans, provide new building automation system (electrical controls) and PC station for new equipment only. Associated ductwork, piping and electrical as specified in the contract specifications. The existing to remain equipment shall remain under control of the existing to remain pneumatic air control system. The contractor shall furnish and install the mechanical and electrical equipment and perform all work of the contract complete in a first class workmanlike manner. All work shall be completed in accordance with the requirements of all local codes and applicable regulations which may govern the requirements of this installation. The HVAC System Upgrade Building 6 contract shall include all work and material that may be required for the complete and proper execution of the work as specified including cutting, patching and grouting as required to support or accommodate the machinery and equipment. All work shall be performed with best trade practices. The new work shall meet all applicable VA criteria, codes, life safety codes and Uniform Building Codes. The work shall be completed within 240 days from Notice To Proceed. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) Code is 238220. The anticipated completion time for this project is 240 calendar days and the government estimate cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000. This project is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns capable of performing the required work. Drawings and specifications for Solicitation IFB VA-244-10-IB-0079 will be available for download from the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov on or about 1/26/2010. A limited number of drawings and specifications will be available for pick-up on a first come first served basis at a refundable cost of $100.00 per set, payable to the VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Building 19 South, Coatesville, PA 19320-2096. Telephone requests to hold drawings and specifications will not be accepted. Drawings and specifications must be returned to the VA Medical Center, Coatesville, Pa no later than 2/26/2010 for refunds. There will be a pre-bid meeting and walk thru conducted on Tuesday, 2/2/2010 at 10:00 a.m. All interested bidders are to meet at Building 19 South. All requests for information must be in writing and sent to the Contracting Officer by 3:00 p.m. on 2/9/2010. VA response to contractor questions will be posted on www.fbo.gov on/about 2/16/2010. Sealed bids are due at the VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Building 19 North, 542/90C, Coatesville, Pa 19320-2096 by 10:00 a.m. on 2/26/2010. Bid opening will be held on 2/26/2010 at 10:00 a.m.
