Description
The U.S. Department of Labor is seeking qualified suppliers to provide renewable energy credits for calendar years 2009, 2010 and 2011 at various Job Corps Center nationwide. We looking for firms that will qualify under the Small Business programs mentioned in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. When submitting your responses please indicate under which programs you meet the criteria. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are small business with the capabilities and experience to perform the required services. As previously stated, the selected source will provide renewable energy credits for calendar years 2009 through 2011. The renewable energy credit must be from new renewable energy sources such as wind turbine or solar power. The purchase amount is expected to be 12,460 MW/h per year. This purchase is to take place during the periods of February 2010 thru February 2012. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAISC) is 221119. A small business is defined as a firm, including its affiliates, primarily engaged in the generation, transmission, and/or distribution of electric energy for sale and its total electric output for the preceding fiscal year that does not exceed 4 million megawatt hours. All interested parties are invited to submit their capabilities statement to Eileen Garnett, Contract Specialist, U.S. Department of Labor, OASAM, BOC, OPS, Division of Job Corps A&E and Construction Services, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Room N-4308, Washington, DC 20210. Your response shall include examples of at least three projects successfully completed that are comparable to the scope of work described above. Responses are due January 21, 2010 by 3:00pm EST.
