Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and is unrestricted. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3ZT909323A001; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-38 effective 10 Dec 09; Defense DCN 20091229 (Amended) Edition, and AFAC 2009-1030 effective 30 Oct 09. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335999. The business size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6135. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3699. Travis AFB has a requirement for aircraft battery cells: CLIN: 0001-AA Cell, C-5 Battery, NSN: 6140-01-528-1722; qty: 100 ea CLIN: 0002-AA Cell, C-17 Battery, NSN: 6140-01-521-8584; qty: 70 ea Description: "A battery cell is a subcomponent of a unit that goes in the airplane; it is encased in plastic to combine with others to make a battery for DC power on the aircraft." Award shall be made in the aggregate, all or none. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999): (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
