PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF PUBLIC-PRIVATE COMPETITION IN FEDBIZOPPS Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76: Department of Defense Public-Private Competition of Detachment 4, 22nd Space Operations Squadron, Maintenance Activity performed by the Department of the Air Force and Head Quarters Air Force Space Command located at Kaena Point, Hawaii. Document Type: Special Notice Point of Contact: Michael Wittkopf Procurement Classification Code: R North American Industry Classification System Code: 561210, Facilities Support Services (561300, Employment Services will be used to determine the appropriate tax rate for the actual cost comparison) Description: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION NOTICE. In accordance with Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 (Revised), Performance of Commercial Activities, May 29, 2003, this notice represents the formal public announcement and official start date of a public-private competition of the Maintenance Activity performed at Kaena Point, Hawaii. The incumbent service providers affected by this public-private competition are approximately 17 Department of Defense government civilian positions and one contract to include KN Lawn Service, Grounds Maintenance. A standard competition will be conducted in accordance with the revised circular. The solicitation will be issued at a later date. Prospective private sector and public reimbursable service providers are encouraged to respond to the solicitation. The Department of Defense Competitive Sourcing Official is Mr. Wayne Arny, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Installations and Environment). The Department of Defense Component Competitive Sourcing Official for Air Force is Lieutenant General Richard Y. Newton, III, Deputy Chief of Staff, Manpower and Personnel. The date of this public announcement is the official start date for this public-private competition and the projected end date of the competition is December 2009. The Contracting Officer is Mr. Michael Wittkopf and the Agency Tender Official is Ms. Lynda Mitchell, 22nd Space Operations Squadron.
