- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Laboratory Sciences, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price Maintenance and Repair Services purchase order, in accordance with FAR Part 12, using simplified acquisition procedures, to Sequenom, Inc., 3595 John Hopkins Court, SanDiego, CA 92121. Sequenom is the only know source that can provide maintenance/repair to the following Sequenom equipment: Nanodispenser Premier, Mdl: RS1000, SN: 08P0605RS-02, 1 each; Matrix Premier, SN:301-9-303, 1 each; Compact Premier Workstation Server, SN: BA 080093, 1 each. The Maintenance/Repair of these instruments is only commercially available from Sequenom. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FROM MAINTENANCE/REPAIR OF COMMERCIAL ITEMS. CDC anticipates soliciting and awarding a purchase order only one source under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) permitting other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no ther provider will satisfy the agency requirement. Sequenom is the only known source available to provide the maintenance/repair that meets mission critical requirements. No Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued based on this Notice in Intent. Interested parities may submit their capabilities/qualifications to perform this effort, in writing to Mr. Richard Jenkins, via email ONLY at rbj3@cdc.gov with reference number (2010-78009) referenced in the subject line, no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, January 19, 2010.
