Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial software license and maintenance in accordance to FAR 12.603, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. U.S. Department of Education, Office of Federal Student Aid is soliciting a brand-name or equal to its current mainframe products from VeriSign Software listed below. Interested parties shall submit their response via electronic mail to the individuals identified below in the specified format: A. Comparative matrix of features and functionalities between the proposed product(s) and VeriSign Software solution including initial cost for integration/configuration of new product (Maximum of 5 Pages). B. Quote for the license and maintenance of the proposed product(s) including two (2) one-year option periods for maintenance renewal out-years. Quote shall be valid for 180 calendar days from the date of submission. C. 180-Day demo copy of the proposed product(s) at no cost to the Government Responses to this notice shall be sent to Mr. Darrick Hardiman at darrick.hardiman@ed.gov and Ms. Dega Hussen at Dega.Hussen@ed.gov. The Government shall evaluate offers/quotes on the total cost for product replacement including technical and functional benefit analysis. The award decision shall be based on best value determination. All interested parties must respond by the due date and tim e. No extensions or exceptions will be granted.
