- DESCRIPTION: The NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to negotiate with DRIVESAFETY, INC., to purchase the CDS-250 REHAB & ASSESSMENT & RESEARCH SIMULATOR; on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 541711. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than January 14, 2010 at 4:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to shirley.courtney@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
