- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Recovery Act - VAMC Northampton located in Leeds, Massachusetts is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business who has proven experience in renovating a Hospital's Supply, Processing and Distribution Areas including HVAC and Sterilization Upgrades for Project # 631-07-125. This is a Design Build Project, The work includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision for this project. The work also includes design, general construction, alterations, and mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, and structural work. The NACIS code for this procurement is 238990. This is a competitively negotiated project. The contract will be awarded using the Best Value source selection process. Award may be held without discussions. Firms will submit two proposals. One will address technical capabilities (including proof from the surety of bonding capacity and evidence of past performance). The prime contractor must have been involved directly with the project (performing actual on-site work). The second proposal shall address pricing. All work shall be completed within 360 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean-up. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. A pre-proposal/walk-through will be held on January 11, 2010, 10:00 am in Building 3, Engineering Conference Room. This date is an estimate. The actual date will be stated in the solicitation. The deadline for receipt of questions is ten days prior to the deadline for receipt of proposals. All project information will be available on www.fbo.gov; no telephone requests will be accepted.
