- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQP05191000001 for the provision of Solid Waste Disposal/Landfill services. The services will be provided for individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Correctional Complex, Pollock, Louisiana. The government will make daily and/or weekly trips to the transfer site and the Government will be responsible for transporting solid waste to the transfer site. The landfill shall be available Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. excluding federal holidays. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with a firm-fixed unit price. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract performance period is anticipated to consist of a base year of Effective Date of Award - September 30, 2010 and will include four, 12-month option years for renewal. The estimated quantity of service is as follows: base year - 2,596 tons; option year one - 2,726 tons; option year two - 2,862 tons; option year three - 3,005 tons; option year four - 3,156 tons. The solicitation will be made available on or about January 12, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 562219, with a size standard of $12.5 million. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is February 12, 2010; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. The anticipated date of award will be approximately February 28, 2010.
