- Mojave Discovery CenterContractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to except for specified Government-furnished property, to construct a new complete and functioning Education/Multi-Purpose facility with all associated systems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, telephone/data, communications, as well as all floor, wall and ceiling finished, fixtures, and built-in cabinets. Major components of the facility include: 1) General site work, pathway, utilities, landscaping, and amenities 2) New Education/Multi-Purpose facility and elevated entry walk The building will undergo the US Green Building Council's LEED certification process with an anticipated award of Gold. Contractor shall have demonstrated experience with the LEED rating system and show expertise in construction activity pollution prevention, waste management, recycling, documenting material recycled content, location of manufacturer, execution of indoor air quality management plan during construction and before occupancy, and other areas critical to the successful achieving of the LEED rating. The work is located in Clark County, Nevada. This acquisition will be advertised on a restricted basis as 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. NAICS code is 236220, with a size standard $33.5 million. It is anticipated work shall begin May 2010 with a 12 month period of performance after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Payment and Performance bonds will be required in the amount of 100% of the contract price each. THE SOLICITATION WHICH WILL INCLUDE ALL SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE POSTED ON/ABOUT JANUARY 15, 2010 at http://www.fedconnect.net. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
