- Description
- The intent of this contract is to provide Chiller System Upgrades at the Flint Federal Building, Flint, Michigan. Interior work shall consist of removal of existing chilled water piping, chillers, and water pumps in the basement level mechanical room. Demolition work shall comply with GSA Construction Waste Management requirements. New construction shall include the installation of new pumps, chilled water piping and related valves, installation of new supporting electrical equipment including disconnects, wiring, conduit, and patching of existing architectural finishes. Exterior work shall consist of the removal of existing cooling tower units and piping, related electrical and steel support platform framing. New construction shall include the installation of new piping, steel support platform framing and patching of existing single-ply membrane roofing system. The total performance period for this requirement is 120 calendar days. The estimated range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and open to all business concerns. NAICS is 238220 with a size standard of $14 million. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. The solicitation will be available on or about January 14, 2009 (actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation). A preproposal conference will be conducted before the proposal due date (actual information will be contained in the solicitation). The solicitation will be available for download through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov). All interested vendors must register with FBO in order to view sensitive but unclassified information, and this registration requires that the following information be completed or provided: (1) An active Central Contractor Registration (CCR) account, (2) Dun and Bradstreet DUNS Number. Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring FBO for amendments and/or additional information. Proposals will be due to the General Services Administration, Michigan Service Center, G.R. Ford FBCT, 110 Michigan Street, Room 293, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Electronic and fax proposals will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
