- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award a contract to Textronics, Inc., Wilmington, DE 19805, on a sole source basis, for a garment-based physiological monitoring system. This effort is in support of advanced development of a remote physiological monitoring system prototype for the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), Fort Detrick, Maryland. A new competition of this requirement and awarding to any other manufacturer would result in substantial delays and would increase the overall cost to the government. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Activity. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, an award will be made without further notice.
