Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This Governmentty is availabe only to contractors under the Government Services Administratio (GSA) Schedulde 70, SIN 132 51. Contract of thes services will be utilizung procedures prescribed in FAR 8.405-2, Federal Supply Schedule Procedures Competition is limited to business holders under SIN No. 132 51, Maintenance of Software as a Services for Category 70, General Purpose Commercial Information Technology Equipment, Software and Services. Only holders of contracts under this schedule who have accepted the Recovery Act Terms & Conditions under GSA will be eligible to compete for this requirement. 1. Background. On February 17, 2009, the President signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). This statute includes The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 (the HITECH Act) that sets forth a plan for advancing the appropriate use of health information technology to improve quality of care and establish a foundation for health care reform. The HITECH Act authorizes the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to administer incentives to eligible professionals and hospitals for meaningful use of certified electronic health records (EHRs). HITECH also authorizes the establishment of several new grant programs that will provide resources to address these prerequisites. Together, they are intended to facilitate the adoption and use of EHRs by providing technical assistance, the capacity to exchange health information, and the availability of trained professionals to support these activities. 2. Requirement. This is a new competitive to establish a comprehensive solution within the HIT Extension System environment. HITREC/HITRC needs a comprehensive, CRM SaaS solution that is capable of capturing customer interaction data, support operational and reporting needs to the Regional Extension Centers, and also provides seamless support for multiple interaction types and groups within the ONC. The CRM SaaS must facilitate information sharing across the organization. The requirements span a combination of pure CRM capabilities as well as specific requirements that CRM SaaS are expected to provide in order to provide a comprehensive solution within the HIT Extension System environment.
