Description
(Subject Continued) NUMBER 38369, Replace Hazardous & Toxic Waste Isolation Valves In 100/200 Series Bldgs MICC has a requirement to Replace HTHW Isolation Valves in 100/200 Series Bldgs Replace HTHW Line Phase 3; Replace HTHW Line Phase 4 ALC in Adelphi, MD and is intending to issue an award a FFP construction contract. Recovery Projects #20873 Replace HTHW Line Phase 3; #23130 Replace HTHW Line Phase 4; #38369 Replace HTHW Isolation Valves in 100/200 Series Buildings. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation to perform all work identified above in accordance with (IAW) and in compliance with all federal, state, local, and industry codes, regulations and laws in satisfying work requirements identified above at the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC)for the ff: The purpose of Project # 38369 is to replace existing High Temperature Water (HTW) valves with new like rated HTW valves at the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC) by matching operational characteristics of the existing valves and all existing valves are to be replaced by new valves with exact manufacturer, type, size, and model number if available (see Specifications in Solicitation Document); all work will be accomplished without damaging any existing and utilities to remain. The purpose of project #20873 is to repair and replace the underground High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) System at the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC). Install High-Temperature Hot-Water System as shown in the attached Phase 3 plan (see Specifications in Solicitation Document). The work includes the system as it penetrates one (1) foot above the floor of the buildings 106 and 103 mechanical rooms. Existing piping is to be removed to include abatement and removal of asbestos pipe insulation; and associated piping, as required, to tie-in the new piping system. The purpose of project #23130 is to repair and replace the underground High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) System at the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC). The installation will result in a complete and useable system, free from defects, and installed in strict compliance to the installed equipment and material manufacturers recommendations by installing High-Temperature Hot-Water System as shown in the attached Phase 4 plan (see Specifications in Solicitation Document). The work includes the system as it penetrates one (1) foot into the building 203 valve pit and one (1) foot into the building 207 valve pit. Existing piping is to be removed. NAICS #: The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220. FUNDING: This project is funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). PROJECT MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $500K and $1M. BONDING REQUIREMENTS: Bid Bond was provided in submitted bid to the Government in response to the IFB for this acquisition. SET ASIDE: This requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses SOLICITATION TYPE: Invitation for Bid (IFB) CONTRACT TYPE: Firm Fixed-Price contract basis. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Posting of this Award Notice is in compliance with FAR 5.702 and Reporting Requirements for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
