Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC; Columbus VA) serves a thirteen county region as a primary resource for veteran healthcare. Columbus VAACC provides services to veterans in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility conveniently located just off I-270 in Columbus, Ohio. The facility provides veterans from all over Columbus and throughout central Ohio with ready access to healthcare through its affiliated community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) in Grove City, Marion, Newark and Zanesville, Ohio. Columbus VA serves a population of over 32,000 unique patients. Columbus VAACC seeks a medical services vendor capable of rendering facilities and equipment necessary for the performance of extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL; lithotripsy). Columbus VAACC anticipates a minimum volume of 40 ESWL procedures per year. Columbus VAACC professional staff will render professional medical services, primarily in the practice of urology, and specifically in the procedure of lithotripsy at the medical services vendor facility. The vendor will credential and privilege VA urologists to perform the primary professional component of ESWL services at vendors facility. The vendor will provide all necessary support staff required for the performance of lithotripsy procedures, specifically including appropriately licensed nursing and health technician staff. Vendor will also staff as necessary for all anesthesia services required during lithotripsy procedures. Vendor will be required to meet certain licensure, credentialing and privileging, billing, technical, and privacy standards to be set forth as part of the solicitation package. Columbus VAACC anticipates the solicitation will be full and open source, competitively bid, and of indefinite quantity and delivery. Those wishing to identify their capability to provide the afore-mentioned service should respond to this announcement via email to brandi.scott@va.gov no later than January 20, 2010, 3:00pm eastern time. Interested parties should provide the following: Company Name, Company Address, Point of Contact, POC phone number/email address, DUNS number and capability statement for lithotripsy services as stated above. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION, OR SOURCES SOUGHT, SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR OFFERS. INFORMATION IS TO BE PROVIDED ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS. NO ENTITLEMENT TO PAYMENT OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS OR CHARGES INCLUDING POSTAGE AND SHIPPING WILL ARISE AS A RESULT OF THE SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION.
