Description
----UPDATE---- Industry One-On-Ones for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) This is a Request for Information and not a formal solicitation. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Management, Aviation (PMA) 273, Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems, is continuing to refine the comprehensive acquisition strategy for Contractor Logistics Support for its aircraft platforms and training systems (T-6, TC-12, T-34, T-39, T-44, T-45 and TH-57). An integral part of this strategy is adopting many of the findings in the Department of Defense Weapon System Acquisition Reform Product Support Assessment dated November 2009. A summary of this report and the full report can be found at the following URL: http://www.dau.mil/Lists/spotlights/DispForm.aspx?ID=45. As part of the extensive market research phase of the acquisition and as a continuation of the Industry Day conducted on 12 May 2009, PMA-273 plans to host additional one-on-one interview sessions in the next month. The purpose of these sessions is to discuss the briefing and answers to the specific questions located in the white paper posted on the NAVAIR open solicitation website at the following URL http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/index.cfm. Interested parties should contact Lt. Will Fortune at william.fortune@navy.mil for further information regarding times and location. Attendance for the one-on-one sessions is limited to three attendees per company. This is a no fee event and seating is limited. Contractors are directed not to present proprietary information at the one-on-ones; any information submitted will become Government property and not be returned to the contractor. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor this website for updated information. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this posting. The Government will not reimburse the attendees for any cost associated with participation or attending the one-on-one interviews, and is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event. Additionally, this announcement in no way commits the Government to issue a solicitation. The requested information is to assist the United States Navy in conducting Market Research. The final requirement(s), if any, would be defined under a formal Request for Proposal which would be announced on FedBizOpps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/).
