Description
Sources Sought - Request for Information The General Services Administration Public Buildings Service is seeking sources to provide complete program and project management services for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment for a new 200,000 USF office space in Washington, DC. The required services are for an agency tenant in a GSA building and are for personal property related requirements including: requirements development, design, and program coordination services which are hereinafter referred to as Consulting Services. The Contractor, although working directly for PBS, will function as the tenant representative and will provide all aspects of tenant planning, design services, budgeting, procurement support & project management of the installation of personal property items by others. The scope of these Consulting Services will include coordination with PBS Base Building construction efforts and full participation with the GSA project team including GSA staff, the Construction Manager staff, the Architect/Engineer staff, the General Contractor and, most importantly, the tenant staff. Construction Documents for the project Base Building (shell and core) are complete, and construction contract award is imminent. Some generic tenant space planning has been done, and Construction Documents for the pre-planned tenant infrastructure to support future space planning for this 200,000 USF tenant is currently in design by the Base Building Architect/Engineer. Occupancy is slated for 2012. At the request of the tenant, GSA has agreed to provide a complete "turn-key" approach to the preparation of the space for the Tenant's occupancy. These tasks are subdivided below. Part One, Consulting Services, is the subject of this Sources Sought RFI. Part Two, Furnish & Install Property, is not the subject of this Sources Sought RFI but is listed here to assist in the definition of the Part One Scope of Work Part One - Consulting Services Interior Design Telecom Consulting Information Technology Consulting Audio Visual Consulting Security Consulting Move Coordination Services Program Coordination Services * Part Two - Furnish & Install Property Systems Furniture Furniture, Accessories, Window Coverings, etc Telecommunications Cabling and Equipment Information Technology Cabling and Equipment Audio Visual and Security Equipment Moving Services and Boxes While the bulk of the services are anticipated to occur within the next 24 months, the contract will have a 48-month period of performance. Companies may provide this range of services either entirely by themselves, or use subcontractors or joint ventures as appropriate. *However, a highly skilled dedicated Program Coordinator and strong project management team with past experience working together is essential. Although the selected firm will be under contract to GSA, the roles and responsibilities of the firm will be best understood in terms of being a strong advocate on behalf of the tenant. Companies who can provide these services should submit a brief capabilities package, not to exceed 8 pages, outlining past experience, a possible team structure with resumes for 3 possible key personnel, and project approach. Since the anticipated procurement will be accomplished using Federal Supply Schedules, Companies should ensure that their Schedule information is fully detailed. Capabilities packages should be emailed to ncr.tenantservices@gsa.gov by COB, January 13 th, 2010. Companies should not expect a reply. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITATION AND NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
