(Subject Continued) 24648 Replace DeLuge Fire Protection Systems Bldg 107,39385 Renovate Fitness Center 22966 Install Elevator Bldg 103. Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) has a requirement at the Adelphi Laboratory Center in Adelphi, MD and is intending to issue an award, firm fixed price (FFP) construction contract for the identified project numbers below: Project #24648: Replace DeLuge Fire Protection System in Bldg 107 (Repair by replacement) The project is located in the underground utility section of the electrical vaults in Building 107 at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) located at 2800 Powder Mill Road, Hyattsville, MD 20783. The deluge fire suppression system utilizes four deluge valves in order to release the water for the sprinkler system and these valves are required to be rebuilt every five years per code. The system was installed 35 years ago and the valves can no longer be serviced or rebuilt since the parts are no longer manufactured. The purpose of this Statement of Work is to request replacement valves for the deluge system, along with any necessary piping and plumbing devices necessary. There are also two fire release panels (one for each of two vaults) which communicate from the fire alarm panel to the deluge valves and direct them to open. These panels are also past their serviceable life and are not functioning properly. The Statement of Work also includes the replacement of these two fire release panels See Stamen of Work and Specifications in the solicitation document to be issued. Project #39385: Renovation of Fitness Facility (Room 1G050- approx. 2620 sq. ft.) located in building 202 at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) located at 2800 Powder Mill Road, Hyattsville, MD 20783. Renovation of entire Fitness Facility to include removal and installation of ceiling tiles, installation of new light fixture, installation of new floor covering to include base molding replace existing mirrors with new ones in aerobics area; preparation and painting of walls throughout the fitness; replacement of doors, toilet fixture vanities in locker rooms. The requirement is to improve the Fitness Facility work and is not limited to work identified herein. See Statement of Work and to include Specifications in the Solicitation document to be issued. Project #22966: Construct New Elevator in Bldg 103 see Statement of Work to include specifications in the solicitation Document to be issued. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation to perform all work identified above in accordance with (IAW) and in compliance with all federal, state, local, and industry codes, regulations and laws in satisfying work requirements identified above at the ALC. NAICS: The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990. FUNDING: This project is funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). PROJECT MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $500K and $1M. BONDING REQUIREMENTS: Bid Bond was provided in submitting bid to the Government in response to the IFB for this acquisition. SET ASIDE: This requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses SOLICITATION TYPE: Invitation for Bid CONTRACT TYPE: Firm Fixed-Price PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Anticipated performance period is 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Posting of this Award Notice is in compliance with FAR 5.702 and Reporting Requirements for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
