- The purpose of this amendment is to make changes to the applicable clauses, and to clarify the offer due date and time. The following clause is removed in it's entirety: 52.212-03 Alt I, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Aug 2009). The following clause is added in it's entirety: 52.212-03, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Aug 2009). The following information is removed from 52.212-02, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (JAN 1999) from the basic clause: paragraph (b): Options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluatio of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). The hour and date specified for receipt of Offers is not extended. Offer Due Date: January 8, 2010 at 1159 hours. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the hour and date specified in the solicitation or as amended by sending an email to Cheryl Fitch at CFITCH@USGS.GOV or fax 916-278-9339 or by mail by sending a written letter to: USGS/Branch of Acquisition and Grants, MODOC Hall, Ste. 2002, CSUS Campus, 3020 State University Drive. East, Sacramento, California, 95819. All acknowledgements must inclulde a reference to the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation, 10WRQQ0065, and amendment number 1. Failure of your acknowledgement to be received at the place designated for the receipt of offers prior to the hour and date specified may result in rejection of your offer.
