Description
The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistic Center (SFLC), intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for DOCKSIDE and repairs to the USCGC RESOLUTE (WMEC-620). The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The acquisition will be solicited HUBZONE SET-ASIDE. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ) on or about January 19, 2010. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS) web page at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail, if requested. Send all request via e-mail to Arlene.V.Woodley@uscg.mil. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPS also contains an option automatic notification service. The standard industrial classification code is 3732 and the NAICS code is 336611. The homeport of the vessel is St. Petersburg, FL. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. The performance period will be 54 calendar days with a start date on or about April 12, 2010. The scope of the acquisition is as follows: 1. Clean Main Diesel Engine Exhaust Stacks 2. Clean Ship Service Diesel Generator Exhaust Stacks 3. Clean Boiler Exhaust Stacks 4. Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems - Laundry 5. Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems - Galley 6. Renew Closure 7. Clean Diesel Generator Windings In-Place 8. Clean and Inspect Heat Exchangers 9. Renew Handrail Piping 10. Renew Section of Counter Measure Wash Down Piping 11. Renew Chill Water Piping Insulation Under 2 Inches 12. Renew Chill Water Piping Insulation 13. Renew and Weight Test Shipboard Davit Crane (Allied Marine Crane Model D5700CT) 14. Renew Steam Table Supply Valve Trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures shall accomplish all welding and brazing.
