- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision necessary to complete Project RA679-09-108 Upgrade Quality Management and Pharmacy at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Contractor shall provide completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor, materials and perform work for basement level and ground floor renovations of Building 135 at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center as required by drawings and specifications. All work of the main bid item (ie. demolition, construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical systems, etc.), shall include both the Basement floor and the Ground floor of Building 135 as per drawings and specifications. Work will also include general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. The estimated dollar value of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is on/about October 9, 2009, with an estimated bid opening date of November 9, 2009. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB). All solicitation packages will be available for downloading from the website www.fedbizopps.gov.
