Description
Solicitation for the Meal Cold Weather/Long Range Patrol (MCW/LRP) SPM3S1-09-R-7050. The Meal, Cold Weather/Food Packet, Long Range Patrol (MCW/LRP) provides an operational ration for two separate operational scenarios. The Meal, Cold Weather (MCW) is intended for cold weather feeding, it will not freeze and supplies extra drink mixes for countering dehydration during cold weather activities. It can be issued at three per day for a complete cold weather ration. The MCW is packaged in a white camouflage pouch similar to the RCW. The Food Packet, Long Range Patrol (LRP) is a restricted calorie ration meant for special operations, where resupply is not available and weight and volume are critical factors. It is issued at one per soldier per day for up to ten days. The LRP is packaged in a tan camouflage menu pouch similar to the current MRE. The combined product assembly consists of twelve ration/meals packets per shipping container. The weight of each case is approximately 15 pounds and it measures approximately 1.02 cubic feet. This is for an IQC contract with one base year and (two) one year option years. The Base year minimum quantities are: 19,008 boxes of Meal Cold Weather (MCW) and minimum 5,760 boxes of Long Range Patrol (LRP). The Base year maximum quantities are: 34,016 boxes of MCW and 15,500 boxes of LRP. Each Option Year has the same minimum and maximum quantities as the base year. This contract shall be F.O.B. Origin; Inspection & Acceptance Origin. Low Cost Technically Acceptable (LPTA) process will be used. Reverse Auction process may be utilized. The contract will result in a Single Award.
