Description
This notice is for informational purposes only. This not a sources sought notice, nor request for competitive proposals. No competitive acquisition package is available with regard to this notice. The government does not intend to either accept or review alternate proposals from vendors that fall outside of the below listed established contracts. Additionally, the Government is not requesting subcontractor proposals in response to this notice. This procurement is available only to those contractors listed on established Department of the Interior Design-Build, Construction, and Construction Services Multiple Award Task Order Construction (MATOC) Contracts #98210AD001, 98210AD002, 98210AD003, 98210AD004, 98210AD005, and 98210AD006. Design services that are applicable to the Brooks Act are not inclusive of this procurement. The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2-Southwest, is preparing to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) 20181AR504 on or about January 12, 2010 for site planning and Design-Build of multiple facilities at a Government owned vacant property near Winnie, Texas consisting of approximately +/- 14.5 acres. The request for proposal will only be issued to those vendors under the established Department of the Interior MATOC contracts listed above. The overall project will entail pre-planning, design, and physical construction of multiple vehicle, storage, fuel, and maintenance facilities which will service as a depot for the Texas Chenier Plain Refuge Complex(Complex) which supports and provides oversight to the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge, Texas Point National Wildlife Refuge, and Moody National Wildlife Refuge. The depot site will serve as the Refuge Complex hub for maintenance operations for heavy equipment and vehicles, command center for emergency operations, multi-refuge fire crew headquarters and fire cache facility, administrative office for maintenance staff, and provide equipment storage for the Complex. All facilities constructed shall be in accordance with Executive Orders 13101 and 13123 which require the Government to use "Sustainable Design" for all new facilities. Design shall promote waste and pollution prevention, water and energy conservation, and utilize materials that have the highest percentage of recovered materials practical, considering price, availability, and performance. The estimated time of completion for this project is approximately 545 calendar days, pending award. This notice is for disclosure purposes only. Offers received from sources other than those under Department of the Interior MATOC contracts listed in paragraph #2 above will be returned, unopened, to any offeror who submits proposals outside of the established contracts listed above.
