- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): FFEB, JV, Metarie, LA, W912P8-07-D-0022-CQ04, USACE Levee Safety Program #30745 This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because this is a task/delivery order where an exception to fair opportunity requirements was approved as this is a follow-on order to a competitive initial order (FAR 8.405-6(b)(2) or 16.505(b)(2)(iii). The Contractor shall perform a levee safety Periodic Inspection (PI) on the levee systems indicated on the summary sheets included as in the scope of work. The levee systems to be inspected may consist of multiple segments and have multiple sponsors per system. The purpose of PIs is to verify proper operation and maintenance, evaluate operational adequacy and structural stability, review design criteria to identify changes in current design standards, identify features to monitor over time, and improve the ability to communicate the overall condition.
