- RECOVERY: PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE FOURMILE ROAD AND TRAILHEADS PROJECT, CHAFFEE COUNTY, COLORADO. THIS PROJECT IS FUNDED FROM THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. THIS PROJECT SHALL BE SET ASIDE FOR HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESSES. Competition is limited to eligible HUBZone concerns. The Bureau of Land Management, (BLM), Department of the Interior, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to an eligible Hubzone concern for the Fourmile Road and Trailheads project located in Chaffee County, Colorado. Sites of Turtle Rock and County Road 375 OHV Parking are located north of Buena Vista, and Midland Trailhead is located north of Johnson Village, Chaffee County, Colorado. The successful contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials for grading road and parking areas and installation of crushed aggregate (Midland, Turtle Rock and County Road 375 OHV Parking), installation of boulders for rock barriers (Midland), and installation of Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) ramp (County Road 375 OHV Parking). The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 237310, Highway, Street and Bridge Construction, with a size standard of $33.5 million. Magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The anticipated period of performance is 55 calendar days. This announcement serves as the advanced notice for the project, and shall be set aside for eligible HUBZone small business concerns. It is anticipated the solicitation package will be available for download approximately March 03, 2010. To obtain the solicitation and/or amendments/updates for this project, contractors shall register and download from FedConnect (https://www.fedconnect.net).
