Description
Draft Hotel Fronk Desk Clerks SOW The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and potential technical capability of 8(a), small businesses to provide the requirement for Front Desk Clerks as outlined below. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation’s foremost federally funded biomedical research institution. It is comprised of twenty-seven Institutes, Centers, and Divisions. The Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center (CRC) is the onsite hospital for the NIH campus, providing full support for clinical research in inpatient and outpatient settings. The 870,000 square foot complex consists of 242 inpatient beds and 90 day hospital stations. The CRC connects to the existing Warren Grant Magnuson Clinical Center. Together, the Magnuson and Hatfield centers form the NIH Clinical Center, the world’s largest clinical research complex serving a dual role; providing humane and healing patient care as well as the environment clinical researchers need to advance clinical science. Patients are admitted to the Clinical Center for the sole purpose of Clinical Research as prescribed in a clinical research protocol. They may be self referred or referred by their primary care physicians. The Clinical Center admits patients from all over the world for clinical trials and natural history studies. The Edmond J. Safra Family Lodge at NIH offers a home-like place of respite for families and loved ones of adult patients who are receiving care. Patients from across the nation and throughout the world visit NIH to participate as partners in medical discovery. Often they are experiencing serious illness and undergoing intensive medical treatments. It's important and necessary for patient families and loved ones to be nearby during these difficult and often stressful times. The Safra Family Lodge provides a home away from home by providing space for solitude, family meetings and supportive fellowship. Specifically, the contractor will be responsible for providing the highest level of customer service by greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival at the Lodge. The contractor will be responsible for issuing electronic (Onity/Tess) guess room keys to and controlling entrance to specific rooms that service guests (e.g., business center and exercise room). The contractor will also be responsible for assisting guests with information regarding the Family Lodge, general Clinical Center information facilities and local information and attractions. 8(a) companies interested in responding to this requirement should submit a capability statement with the following information: Capability statements should discuss current work being done or work completed that is the same or similar in nature. Specifically, please discuss in detail the requirements that were satisfied, number of people, period of performance and any other information you may feel is important. Also, please discuss your plan of operation for these references. Specifically, please discuss quality control methods that were in place to ensure a successful operation. In addition, please provide an overview of your company that will demonstrate stability and expertise in providing the services required. Please discuss your ability to obtain and retain capable, responsible employees who are professional and sensitive to the needs of patients and their families at the NIH. Employees should possess a proven track record of being courteous and professional. Employees should also have good communication skills, both verbal and written and must possess basic computer skills and computational ability. This capability statement must also state business size, and whether or not the firm has been approved as a 8(a) under applicable NAICS Code 561210, respectively. Capable firms shall provide three copies of a capability statement to the attention of Malinda Dehner at the below address within (15) days from the date of this notice. It is anticipated that the period of performance will be for one twelve (12) month period, with options to renew for four (4) additional twelve (12) month periods. This is a market survey and does not constitute the synopsis announcement for the actual solicitation. SEE DRAFT SOW
