Description
SERVICES SOURCES SOUGHT. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), has a requirement to provide routine and emergency maintenance/repair of the NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) system within the State of Nebraska. The contract will consist of a base period of twelve (12) months and four (4) twelve (12)-month option periods. The base period will be for the period of April 1, 2010 thru March 31, 2011. The NWS system is a broadcasting network consisting of transmission lines, transmitters, and antennas located at approximately twenty-four (24) sites within the State of Nebraska. The contractor will be required to provide maintenance services as needed, vault and tower space, control links, utilities, tools and test equipment, transportation and per diem to maintain the NWR System. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to contract with Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission (NETC), P.O. Box 83111, Lincoln, NE 68501. This is not intended to be a competitive proposal. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by submitting a required qualifications statement. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed documentation that demonstrates their capability to provide the services that will satisfy the Government's needs. The applicable NAICS code is 811213. All interested parties must request a copy of Request for Proposal (RFP) WC133W-10-RP-0043PY in writing.
